For more than 20 years, PAICR has served as the only professional organization dedicated to helping marketing and communications professionals in the investment management industry Learn, Connect and Succeed. Over the last decade, however, our industry has faced its share of challenges—and PAICR has not been immune. Tightening corporate budgets have led to stagnant membership levels, declining conference attendance, and difficulties finding sufficient sponsors, all making it challenging to cover the association’s expenses. We’ve also found it very hard to build a steady pipeline of volunteers (our lifeblood) with the time to devote to helping us develop and promote our programming.
As a result, it is with much sadness that we must announce that with effect from February 28, 2019, PAICR is being dissolved. While we believe there is still great value in what we offer, it is unfortunately no longer financially feasible for us to continue operations.
If your current membership extends beyond February 28, 2019, we are offering a pro-rated refund of your membership fee. If you wish to receive this refund, you must inform our Chief Administrative Officer Ann Clarke in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday December 14, 2018. Please include a valid mailing address. Refund checks will be disbursed during January 2019, and all checks must be cashed no later than Friday, February 15, 2019. After that date, our bank account will be closed, and funds will no longer be available.
